Each contest runs for 10 weeks. Join for $20 - half of it becomes the grand prize, the other half becomes part of the 10 weekly prizes. Weigh in once a week at a central location, and the greatest percentage of weight loss for that week wins! The great percentage of weight loss overall wins the grand prize. Customize your contest with a travelling trophy (goes from winner to winner each week, then the grand prize winner gets to keep it), weekly fitness tips, "Healthy Eating Thursdays," walks at lunch, etc. Get going on a healthier you!

Join Pemberton Historical Park's new Walking Club!
Pemberton's brand new Walking Club will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00 A.M. and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at 9:00 A.M. from May through October, allowing participants to enjoy the most beautiful sights, sounds and smells the park has to offer throughout the year.
Become a PHP Walking Club member and:
• Make new friends
• Enjoy the outdoors
• Feel the health benefits of low-impact exercise
• Stay fit without the heavy fees of a gym
• Enjoy breakfast with other members once a month
• Have fun!
First Walk: Saturday, May 8, 9:00 A.M. Meet at the Welcome Center off of the parking lot.

Crown Sports Center - Upcoming Events
Crown Sports Center would like to remind you of their upcoming leagues, clinics and drop-ins.
Baseball Academy - this clinic is offered to boys ages 8 - 12.
Get a jump on your baseball mechanics and conditioning. Clinic will take place on Thursday nights beginning this Thursday, March 4th from 6 - 8pm. Clinic will take place for 5 weeks. Cost is $99.00. There are still a few spots left. Don't let your young baseball player miss out on this great opportunity.
Session III Youth Indoor Soccer League - registration is still being taken for the upcoming league for teams and individuals. The league is scheduled to begin the weekend of March 12th. Games will take place on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Individual registration is $66.00 per player. Team registration fee is $575.00 . League will consist of 6 games.
Danielle Twilley Field Hockey Clinic - offered to girls ages 6 - 13 years of age.
Clinic will take place on Sundays from 12pm - 1pm beginning April 18th and will run through May 23rd. Cost is $66.00 per player. Participants will need to bring an outdoor stick, mouthguard and shinguards.
Women's Drop-In Soccer - offered to women ages 18 and over.
The Drop-In will occur on Monday nights from 7 - 9pm beginning Monday, March 8th and will go for 5 weeks. Cost is $5.00 with a student ID card. $10.00 without a student ID. Depending on the participation - it will be determined how long the drop-in will be offered.
Men's Over 18 Drop-In Soccer - offered to men ages 18 and over.
The Drop-In occurs on Wednesday nights from 9 - 11pm. Cost is $5.00 with student ID - $10.00 without a student ID card.

Fall Walk @ Lunch on the river
The WiNPAC coalition held its annual fall Walk @ Lunch event on Sept. 23 under clear and dry skies. Over 100 people enjoyed a short ½ mile walk, healthy snacks, and friendship. The purpose of the event is to not only get people outside and moving but to show them how easy it is to make activity part of their regular workday.
